What Winix will never ask for: protect your account and earnings
Deposits, withdrawals, secret codes and impersonation: learn what Winix never asks for, which checks may be needed and how to handle suspicious requests.
Winix does not require a money deposit to get started or a transfer to a person to unlock a withdrawal. The team will never ask you to share your Mobile Money PIN, password or payment authorization code. If a message claims otherwise, stop the conversation and contact support through the Winix app or website.
This guide explains how to recognize these requests, which information support may need and what to do if someone uses the Winix name or logo to mislead you.
No money deposit to get started
Downloading Winix and creating an account are free. You do not need to send money to a “Winix agent” to activate your profile, start playing or become eligible to earn rewards.
A person requesting a Mobile Money transfer to open your account, a deposit to access missions or a payment to “activate your earnings” is not describing the Winix registration process. Do not make that transfer, even if their profile photo, logo or screenshot looks like the app.
Access to some offers may require Winix Coins, with the price displayed in the app. Coins unlock access; they are separate from your money balance and cannot be withdrawn. The Winix Coins guide explains how they work and the options available to obtain them.
A partner offer's conditions may also mention a purchase within a game or service. Read those conditions before choosing the offer and decide whether they suit you. A purchase described in an offer is different from a deposit to open your Winix account or a payment requested by a stranger to activate earnings.
No transfer to a person to unlock a withdrawal
Prepare your withdrawal in the app, using your available balance and the conditions of your chosen payment method. You do not need to send a separate payment to someone promising to “release” your earnings, speed up processing or remove a block.
For example, a message saying “send 2,000 CFA francs to this number to receive your withdrawal” should prompt you to stop and check with official support. The amount makes no difference: a small payment described as a test or insurance is still a transfer outside the withdrawal process.
Distinguish such a transfer from any fees displayed in the withdrawal summary. Minimums, limits, fees and the net amount are the ones shown in the app for your selected method. Read the fees and limits guide for help understanding that summary.
If a withdrawal is pending or processing, check its status in your account. A review or delay does not justify sending money to a contact promising to unblock it. Support can examine the operation reference; paying a person does not replace that review.
Keep your Mobile Money PIN private
Your secret code or PIN protects your payment account. Never share it with the Winix team or anyone claiming to work for Winix. It is not needed to identify a withdrawal or check a completed offer.
The recipient's phone number and operator are payment details. They differ from the code that authorizes operations on that account. You may need to enter the necessary recipient details in the withdrawal process without revealing your PIN to a person.
The same applies to codes sent by SMS or notification to authorize a payment: do not copy them into a chat, read them over the phone or include them in screenshots sent to support. Read what the message is for before acting. An authorization code does not become something to share because someone says they need to “check that the account belongs to you.”
Do not send your password in a message
Support does not need your password to understand an error, locate a request or examine a missing reward. Do not send it through WhatsApp, SMS, email, chat or a phone call.
If an official authentication screen asks for a login detail or code, use only the process you opened yourself from the app or relevant service. Entering information there differs from a person asking to receive your secrets in a message.
A received link may imitate a login screen. If unsure, close it and reopen the app or type www.winix.co into your browser yourself. Also avoid giving someone control of your phone or sharing a screen that displays login or payment codes.
What information might Winix request?
To investigate a problem, support may need an offer name, offer ID, affected milestone, withdrawal reference, date, displayed status or screenshot of an error. The app version and phone type may help reproduce a bug.
Identity verification may be requested, particularly to secure a withdrawal or a request concerning your account. This does not require sharing your payment PIN or password with a person. If you do not understand a document request, contact support through your own access and ask why it is needed and which channel to use before sending it.
Provide only information relevant to the case. Hide secret codes, private conversations and unrelated details in screenshots. The privacy policy describes the information processed and possible verification checks.
How to check someone claiming to represent Winix
A logo, display name or earnings screenshot does not prove a contact's identity. Someone can copy these and pressure you with an urgent offer, an allegedly blocked account or a reward that must be claimed immediately.
To check a request:
- Stop the conversation before sending money, a code or a document.
- Open Profile → Support in Winix yourself, or visit the website support page.
- Explain the request and include its text, the number or address used and a screenshot with secrets removed.
- Wait for the request to be clarified through that channel before continuing with any sensitive action.
The support guide helps you prepare useful references and explanations. Check unusual requests even when they appear to come from a familiar contact: their account may have been impersonated or compromised.
What if you already shared a code or sent money?
Do not send anything else, even if the person promises a refund in exchange for another payment. Keep the messages, contact details, dates and transfer references.
If you disclosed your Mobile Money PIN or authorized a suspicious operation, promptly contact your operator through its app or official contact details to secure the account and report the operation. If you shared a password, change it through the relevant service and change it on other accounts where you reused it.
Notify Winix support and explain exactly what happened without repeating the secrets you disclosed. Describe what you sent, when and through which channel. This information helps investigate the report; it does not guarantee recovery of an executed payment.
Keep your codes private, check conditions in the app and verify unusual requests through an access point you opened yourself.
